Pointless airport security.

So, the ludicrous plot to blow up aeroplanes with bottles of shampoo turns out to be nothing but a paranoid fantasy. Naturally, the hysterical extra security measures brought in as a response to the “threat” will remain in place indefinitely.

Is this an evil plot to further restrict our freedoms, or just stupidity? Or (as my wife suggests) are evil and stupidity just two sides of the same coin?

Either way, who put these nuts in charge??

actually its not a pointless rule but a defense against terrorist attempts to collude and build an explosive device on board aircraft. These muslims (or mu-slimes) have attempted to do this in the past. I assure you that the government has no intention of restricting freedom, period! However, if we want safety we must abide by the governments rules that are in place for our own good and are part of the war on terror (remember 9/11 and heros in uniform. I’m an immigrant and there is no better place to be than in america. Since 9/11 our government has foiled and thwarted every attempt by the muslimes to attack our soil. God bless america

tony: That’s the most coherent defence of pointless airport security that I’ve come across. Do you work for the Whitehouse Press Office, by any chance?

One good thing I suppose, is that it has created quite a lot of extra jobs all over the world.
